About This Project

As the energy and LEED certification consultant for The Viana Hotel & Spa, The Cotocon Group (TCG) helped this new construction building earn a LEED for New Construction certified rating. The LEED processes which led to certification include LEED WEc2 – Water Use Reduction, LEED MRc4 – Recycled Content, LEED MRc5 – Regional Materials for using manufactures within a 500 mile radius of the site, LEED EQc4.1 – Low emitting Adhesives and Sealants and LEED EQc4.2 – Low Emitting Paints and Coatings.

The Viana Hotel & Spa also installed 50 rooftop Solar Photovoltaic cell (PVC) panels. These solar panels produce an estimated 12,100 kWh per year. This significantly reduces fossil fuel consumption and as a result The Viana Hotel & Spa has a delicaltely small carbon footprint.
